Hand Tufted Handmade Real Silk Carpets
Chinese silk carpets are woven out of the quality silk of China. They are graceful in design, harmonious in color, well proportioned in pattern and free from confusion.
Material
Real off the raw silk fiber from the cocoons and only one third of the silk from the cocoons can be used to weave silk carpets. Then bind the silk fiber into silk strands. Put the silk strands into boiling alkaline water from 30-40 minutes to make it soft and later rinse the alkali and impurities by clean water.
Design
Draw design on a chart and match the different colors on it so that the weavers can follow. This is a creative work. The artisans must have a blue print in their mind. Actually the finished carpet is the representation of the design. By now, there are Peking Design, Esthetic Design, Floral Design, Embossed Design, Antique Design and Chinese-Persian Design.

Normal knot density including 120 lines per foot, 130 lines, 140 lines, 260 lines, 300 lines, 400 lines, 500 lines, 600 lines, 700 lines, 800 lines, 900 lines, 1000 lines.
